Week 10 | Seeing the King

All of us are in the process of “becoming” as we walk with Jesus. We’re learning to see Him more clearly, step by step.“Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again; and he opened his eyes, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.” (Mark 8:25,

ESV).

Week 9 | Scars of Jesus

Scars tell a story, and the scars of Jesus are still speaking today. The story they tell is all about you and me. The Apostle Peter writes, “Jesus personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed” (1 Peter 2:24, NLT).

Week 8 | Walking with the King

Two disciples walked away from Jerusalem carrying disappointment. “We had hoped…” (Luke 24:21). And Jesus came alongside them—not with quick answers, but by opening the Scriptures and showing them that what they saw as loss was not the end. In the midst of their darkness, He spoke truth. The situation hadn’t changed—but they were beginning to see. And slowly, hope began to rise.

Week 7 | The Resurrected King

As Mark brings his Gospel to a climactic finish, he presents a compelling eyewitness testimony to Jesus as the true Son of God!

Week 6 | God’s Glory Reveals Through The Son

Mark presents a fascinating story of Jesus’ transfiguration to demonstrate that He is greater than any of the prophets – including Moses and Elijah!

Week 5 | A Kingdom-sized Faith

Mark follows the stories of the calming of the sea and healing of the demoniac with a combined story connected by a 12-year timeline. These stories call us to enter a deeper faith in Jesus…

Week 4 | Who is This Jesus?

Mark often combines stories to highlight important truths about Jesus – like the crossing of the Sea of Galilee and healing of the demoniac to make it clear Jesus is way more than just a Rabbi or good teacher!

Week 3 | Everyday Kingdom Miracles!

“Take up your pallet and walk” Jesus tells the paralytic. He miraculously begins to walk! But is there an even more significant miracle recorded in this story?

Week 2 | The Kingdom is Near!

“The time is fulfilled and the Kingdom of God is near” – the message declared by John the Baptist is expanded by Jesus as He begins His public ministry. What does this Kingdom mean for us today?

Week 1 | The King Announced!

“The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God” – this is the opening line of Mark’s record of Simon Peter’s memory of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, proving Him to be greater than the figures worshipped in the Roman Empire.
